Community – A Foundational Value
The Gospel reveals our God as purchasing a special people and their children as his prized possession, warmly inviting outsiders into that community, and calling them all to a deep unity and binding love which corresponds to that of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our community aspires to be similar in character. We will always strive to demonstrate that we and our children belong to Jesus by loving each other as we have been loved, and by renouncing our rights for the sake of one another as he has renounced his for us. The result will be a “one-anothering” community fragrant with the welcoming love of God where intimate, transparent, healing relationships flourish and unity abounds. This community will be fostered through Sunday Schools, small groups, meals, and through weekly communications via email.
We need God under our feet and God in our lungs. We need creator and creatures and community.

Meeting with Jesus in Small Groups at Rock Creek
We need God. We need each other.
Jesus said when a few of us get together God is there among us as we are among each other. That is why we at Rock Creek Fellowship offer these small groups. We are eager for you to have an opportunity to meet with Jesus. Think seriously for a minute about the value of those who know Christ or those who are seeking to know him getting together regularly. Here is how God has put it in his word:
Genesis 2:18 At the dawn of time and sunsets, gardens and zebras, God made it clear: It is not good for man to be alone…
Hebrews 3:12-14 To prevent our hearts from calcifying and our steps from faltering, God prescribes two remedies: folks and revitalizing words from them.
James 5:12-16 For hearts sick with guilt and bodies aching with the fall God urges us “to pray” and “to confess our sins to each other” that we may be healed.
Galatians 6:2 For those crushed by heavy loads and back-breaking loads, God provides us with each other, “to bear one another’s burdens” as a vivid depiction of Christ’s vitality in us.
Revelation 12:11 For those smarting with the Evil One’s fiery darts of accusation, God validates and reassures overcomingly through the offering of His Son and the “words of the saints’ testimony.”
